Chip

Joy had the chance to play Chip, the teacup, in Beauty and the Beast. Her middle school put on the production in November. They worked very hard. It paid off because it was a fantastic show! Joy did a great job! We were so proud of her!

Drywall

Drywall went up this week at our new home. We are so excited. Here are a few pictures of our home being built. Starting with our empty lot and ending with the new drywall in the entry.

Summer Swimming

This summer when we moved to Texas, it was hot! We soon learned that you beat the heat by swimming. We were in a pool nearly everyday and we loved it!

Ice Storm

We had our first ice storm in Dallas! We went to sleep Thursday night (December 5) knowing school was cancelled because sleet was falling. Friday morning two inches of ice covered the yard and streets. The leaves in the trees had ice perfectly shaped around them. The kids pulled out our snow clothes from many Minnesota winters and played outside. Because they don’t have snowplows here, we’re all just hanging out at home waiting for the ice to melt (except Chris walked 4 miles round trip to the post office). Birthday parties, Christmas events and church were all cancelled. We just learned that school will be closed again tomorrow! Crazy!!

Abby

Abby is in the magical stage of dresses, make believe and crowns. She loves to pose for the camera, hoping for the “perfect” shot. Her favorite hairstylist is her sister, Joy! Bring on the finger nail polish, lip gloss and high heels. Anything girly is right up her alley!

Isaac

Our Isaac is a very happy-go-lucky guy! He never wants to be left out of a crowd and is always ready for a party. Whether it is his birthday, a family vacation to St. George, standing on the summit of Pikes Peak, or Halloween he will always be there with a big smile and an infectious laugh.

Peaches (AKA Allie)

Allie has yet to be featured in our recent posts, so here are some pictures of her taken throughout the year. Though she has grown and changed a lot during the past twelve months, one thing that hasn't changed is that she is always happy and loving. No matter how rough it gets, all of Allie’s brothers and sisters find solace in snuggling her and giving loves to their “Peaches”.

Camel Rides

Abby, Isaac and Allie had their own adventure in Arizona while the rest of us were in Hawaii. They went shopping, enjoyed a picnic with bounce houses, participated in a rodeo and visited the zoo! Spoiled!! One highlight was riding the camels at the zoo.

Hawaii

We were blessed to go to Hawaii with the four older kids this November! It was a great time! We made lots of good memories! I hope to blog more about the trip later and post more pictures!

Bryant's Baptism

 

I wanted to post once a month this year (sigh). That obviously didn’t happen! However, the year is not over yet! As a gift to myself, I want to post each day until Christmas. Just a small blurb with a picture from the past 12 months, starting with the most important day this year...

Bry was baptized! On his birthday, in Texas, with family to love and support him in this decision, Bryant made the decision to join the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints! He is a great example to all of us! We are so proud of you, Bryant!
